Honey 1 Varroa Count

We are due to remove the Apistan strings on 27 November 2010, so time for a quick Varroa Count.

Tray placed 7 Nov 2010 17:15 (0 mites)
Tray Checked 8 Nov 2010 17:15 (105 mites)

=105/24 (Hours) = 4.3 per hour

This seems pretty high to me, not sure if this is a good thing or not?

    Seems like a lot to me….If the strips have been in for five weeks I would guess they are not working? Give ceracell a call….
