Scoop News – NZ short on beekeepers

Come on everyone start Beekeeping….

The New Zealand beekeeping industry is severely short of well-trained apiarists (beekeepers), says the National Beekeepers’ Association of New Zealand (NBA).

The industry is so short of qualified and skilled beekeepers that the trade is listed on the Department of Labour’s Immediate Skill Shortage List (ISSL). This means government is actively encouraging skilled beekeepers from overseas to work in New Zealand.
