Barry started the workshop by explaining that the government state that, “… “the varroa ‘problem’ is an industry problem” (and this term was used quite frequently throughout the day). Barry also stated that “…pollination not high on other agencies priorities…”
We were in a music store today picking up some equipment for our new podcast. We got talking to the guy that works in the shop who is in the band “Tom Lark”. He mentioned they latest video was kind of bee keeping related, check out the video quite cool and a pretty good song.
Well it was a wet day in Auckland, and we were surprised the meeting was still on. But we were told by the Hive Manager “Peter” that weather forecast predicated clear skies until Lunch time. So it was off down to Franklin to attend the club day.
