We did a count of Varroa is the Goldie hive over the last twenty four hours there was approx 280 that had fallen onto our sticky board, we will need to get some treatment strips into the hive in the next week or so. We first must reduce the hive down to two brood boxes.
Checked Mokoroa again today and it still has around twenty bee’s, but the hive is full of wax moth lava and eggs, the frames have no food as well. So I have removed the frames and will clean up the box later on. Amazed that Bees have lasted this long without a Queen. Its sad[…]Read More
